Sarah McFarland

FOunder & CEO, Scho Behavior Academy

My name is Sarah “Scho” McFarland, I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) and International Behavior Analysts (IBA) with over 13 years of experience across residential programs, hospitals and clinics, in-home services, community-based supports, and schools.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals, families and teams navigating complex, high-need situations—especially when behavior feels overwhelming, unpredictable, or hard to manage. I also have extensive experience in crisis support, including de-escalation, behavior management, and response training—helping families and teams feel more prepared, confident, and aligned in the moments that matter most.

Over time, I realized something:
People are expected to manage behavior every day—but rarely taught the fundamentals behind it.

That’s why I created Scho Behavior Academy.

My goal is to make behavior science clear, practical, and accessible—so you can understand behavior, respond with intention, and use strategies that actually work in real life.

Outside of behavior analysis, I’ve spent over 15 years coaching volleyball at the middle school, high school, and club levels—a journey that started during my collegiate career. Coaching has shaped how I think about leadership, motivation, and team dynamics, and it continues to influence how I support educators, caregivers, and professionals today.

Appreciate you being here!
